A place to wine, a place to dine
Our Structure was built in 2003 with the Pine Beetle killed timber from Manning Park. The large middle bar, sidebars and front counter are made from local “curly maple “, a much sought after wood in the making of high-end violins. The exterior board & baton is 150 years old barn wood from Chilliwack that has been naturally weathered to give its unique look.
The cafe was owned and operated by a lovely family, Graeme, Sonia and Oma (Sonia’s mom). Throughout the years, their food and service warmed the stomachs and hearts of both locals and visitors. In turn, customers have donated over 300 owls to adorn the premises, some came from as far away as Mexico.
Let us introduce ourselves
For decades, Owl Street Cafe has been loved by not only locals, but also visitors around the world. In 2018, the cafe is handed over to a passionate couple, Thomas and Jane. Having been in the produce supply industry and served top tier restaurants in Vancouver for more than a decade, the couple is dedicated to continue bringing the freshest homemade dishes to all diners at Owl Street.
Besides the regulars on Canadian menus, Thomas is always exploring new recipes, trying to bring the freshness to customers at another level. Whether you are a conservative or adventurous diner, come and see what the new Owl Street Cafe can surprise you.
